What are NVQs?
NVQs are based upon national occupational standards. These standards are essentially statements based upon the level of performance which is expected amongst competent workers in a particular occupation.
These qualifications cover all aspects of the occupation. These aspects range from ensuring that the individual uses the current best practices, showing they have the appropriate knowledge and that they also have the ability to cater to future changes to requirements.
An NVQ is a work-based qualification, so in order for anyone to be processed they must currently be in on-site employment. Ensuring that you or your workforce is NVQ qualified will enhance the quality of the service you are capable of providing and recent changes in the CDM regulations states that all personnel must be NVQ qualified.
NVQs strengthen the level of expertise individuals have, while also providing them with an excellent way of being able to assure clients they are in safe hands thanks to the accreditation.
